My son just loves the cheesy, creamy chick fil a mac n cheese. However, we don’t always have access to the restaurant, plus we can make it at home in larger quantities! A few reasons why my family makes this recipe so often:

  1. Bring salted water to a boil.
  2. Add elbow macaroni and reduce to medium heat, cooking up to 15 minutes or until noodles are tender.
  3. Drain pasta and add remaining ingredients!

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 16 oz elbow macaroni
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp freshly ground pepper
  • 3 oz white cheddar cheese
  • 3 oz sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3 oz Romano cheese or Parmesan
  • ⅔ cup heavy cream or milk, half and half
  • 1 tsp minced garlic or garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dijon mustard *optional

Instructions

  • Add the uncooked macaroni, butter, chicken broth, salt and pepper to the Instant Pot.
  • Cook at high pressure for 5 minutes. Quick release.
